Inductees 2025

The Ed Romance Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame has announced the inductees for the Class of 2025, who will were celebrated at the chapter’s 45th anniversary banquet on Saturday, March 15, at The Brady Banquet Hall at 2 p.m.

The banquet followed induction ceremonies at the Mount Carmel Public Library at noon.

Kristen Millard Fourspring

Played college basketball at both Bloomsburg and Susquehanna University ... two district championships at Lourdes Regional ... One of only three players to achieve 1,000 rebounds ... Also ranks 18th all-time in scoring with 956 points ... Current assistant girls basketball coach at MCA.

Denise Kijewski

Two-time state medal winner in cross country and track and field at Mount Carmel ... Three-time district champion in cross country and track and five-time league champion in both ... Cross and track scholarship to Youngstown State, where she was a conference champion ... Named outstanding runner in cross and track by Reading Eagle and Press Enterprise.

Chris McCarthy

Played college basketball at Morgan State and Alvernia ... All-time leading single-season scorer at Mount Carmel with 597 points and 520 rebounds ... Averaged 17.9 rebounds per game and 22 points per game ... Fifth team all-state, highest in state of PA at the time ... Led team to first-ever District 11 basketball championship in 1991 ... Had several 30-point games ... Seven games with 20 or more rebounds.

Mary Scicchitano

Played four years of college basketball at both Susquehanna and Wilkes and was a captain at each school ... Part of the 1985 district champion basketball and track teams at MCA ... Several Tournament MVP selections.

Jon Skinner

Four-year starter at offensive tackle at Mount Carmel and part of 2000 and 2002 state championship teams ... Named to the AP All-state team and to PA Big 33 ... Ohio State recruit, where he played in four postseason bowls, including two national championship games with the Buckeyes ... Saw playing time at guard, tackle and center.

Tim Wargo

All-time leading receiver in Mount Carmel history with 1,866 yards and 29 touchdowns ... Two-time all-state player after 2002 and 2003 season ... Also the all-time basketball scoring leader at time of graduation with 1,364 points ... Current coach with the Red Tornadoes.
